Our client is a top tier investment management house looking to recruit a Client Manager to provide an excellent service to some of their biggest and most complex clients. The Client Manager will take responsibility for the following duties:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of institutional clients and act as the first point of contact in the Client Director’s absence.
- Understand a client's decision-making process and long-term objectives, providing high-level technical support, answering queries, and identifying opportunities and threats.
- Identify leads and sales opportunities with the aim to maximize revenue.
- Review and sign off draft instructions for peers.
- Display technical knowledge in areas such as the company’s products, brand, services, and competitors.
- Develop knowledge of the current investment market, economic issues, and views to discuss solutions with clients and consultants.
- Devise meeting packs for client meetings and new business pitches.
- Manage the production of legal documentation, reports, and client-specific data relevant to the client investment strategy.
- Utilize expertise from around the business to manage and resolve ad-hoc queries, data requests, and client changes in line with client expectations.
The Client Manager will meet the following skillset:
- IMC Certified as well as a degree (preferably 2:1) or equivalent is desired.
- Experience in Investment Management including client services, sales support, and knowledge of current investment market and economic issues.
- Ability to build strong relationships with external clients/contacts across all levels.
- Institutional client experience and detailed Institutional Investment product knowledge (LDI, Cashflow matching, Credit, Real Assets, and Index funds).
- Experience with workflow management and strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work on own initiative.
- Highly team-oriented and possess a good level of ‘gravitas’ and resilience.
