Global Equity Analyst: Research & Portfolio Ideas in City of London

A highly successful global asset management firm is looking to hire an equity analyst to join their top performing long-only global equity team.

In this role, you will assist the Portfolio Managers with detailed analysis of a number of stocks and provide investment ideas for the global equity fund.

Key responsibilities:

1. Make investment recommendations through detailed company research, financial modelling and meeting with company management.
2. Constantly monitor existing holdings; examining periodic results releases, meeting companies, attending site visits.
3. Develop own financial models, at the same time having a strong practical and conceptual understanding of valuation frameworks.
4. Assist the lead Portfolio Manager in the day-to-day running of portfolios.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. At least 3-5 years’ equity research experience at a buy-side or sell-side institution.
2. Solid understanding of business model drivers and tail risks.
3. CFA Charterholder or currently working towards CFA qualification.
4. Ability to work in a collegiate team environment and have a sense of humility.
5. Able to continually learn, improve and manage own investment mistakes and frustrations.
6. Passion for investing.
