The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading global investment and wealth management business to recruit an experienced Events Manager to join its Manchester-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of client events, investment seminars, sponsorships and hospitality programmes, delivering exceptional client experiences while supporting wider business development objectives. Working closely with senior stakeholders, marketing and regional teams, you will take ownership of events from concept through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver client events, investment seminars, sponsorships, hospitality programmes and virtual events.
- Develop event concepts aligned with business objectives and brand strategy.
- Manage budgets, venue sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracts and logistics.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic event guidance.
- Oversee invitations, registration, attendee engagement and post-event communications.
- Work with business development teams to maximise attendance, client engagement and commercial outcomes.
- Evaluate event performance, measure ROI and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all events meet relevant compliance, risk management and health and safety requirements.
About You
- Proven experience managing events end-to-end, ideally within financial services, wealth management or professional services.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, venues and contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including confidence engaging with senior leaders.
- A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of client engagement and event ROI.
- Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with event management platforms.
