Opening in Spring 2026, Maslow’s welcomes its third addition to the portfolio – Maslow’s Kensington. In this inspiring new workplace, we will operate two floors of private members co-working space – 31 private offices and a total of 303 desks, with cafe and bar – all just a stone’s throw from High Street Kensington. Your new role starts mid March.
You will be part of the Food and Beverage team at Oria Café. You will be multiskilled in food, beverage and bar service, responsible for creating a unique food & beverage experience for our clients, providing efficient and courteous service. You will be knowledgeable about ingredients and nutritional facts, crafting and serving high-quality coffee and smoothies, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, attention to detail, and ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere will contribute to an enjoyable dining and beverage experience for our customers and members.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on customer preferences and our menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area according to established guidelines and ensure all supplies are well-stocked.
- Handle cash transactions and accurately process payments.
- Engage with customers, build rapport, and ensure their overall satisfaction.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety and food/bar regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new coffee blends, and brewing techniques.
- Participate in training sessions to expand knowledge of coffee varieties and flavour profiles.
- Maintain accurate records, perform pre-checks, and manage food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, paying attention to details and service sequence.
- Set tables as needed prior to clients’ arrival.
- Ensure the working area and station are stocked with mise-en-place and kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure the smooth running of the assigned station.
- Understand the menu's well-being and functional elements to provide knowledgeable information to members.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus to advise clients and promote additional sales.
- Promote additional sales by up-selling in a professional and courteous manner.
- Communicate clear orders to the kitchen.
- Serve orders for food and beverages to guests in line with company standards.
- Build good working relations with all departments.
- Any other duties required by your manager.
- Previous experience as a Server/Barista/Bar Person or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and coffee preparation techniques.
- Interest in nutrition and functional ingredients, adaptogenic drinks and wellness.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work early mornings and occasional weekends. The house opening hours will be 7am – 7pm.
