Opening in Spring 2026, Maslow’s welcomes its third addition to the portfolio – Maslow’s Kensington. In this inspiring new workplace, we will operate two floors of private members co-working space - 31 private offices and a total of 303 desks, with a wellness café and bar – all just a stone’s throw from High Street Kensington.
Your new role
Our company is seeking a vibrant and passionate Commis Chef who will excite our guests through their culinary experience. You may not have much experience in the kitchen, but you will know the basics and will be eager to learn. You will strive for perfection in all that you do and have a genuine interest in wellness and providing a balanced, nutrient-rich, and flavour-led offering. This role is available from mid-March 2026; you will be based at Maslow’s Kensington, W8 with café operating hours between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities:
- Has basic knowledge of a kitchen and is eager to learn to develop their role (desirable but not mandatory as full training will be given)
- Can follow instruction to deliver their tasks to a high standard
- A great communicator that manages their time well
- Thirst for knowledge and is a proactive question-asker
- Has good knife skills and knowledge of all food safety measures to ensure we deliver a safe kitchen
- Follows proper food safety and health and safety guidelines and sanitation practices following the principles of HACCP
- Ensures kitchen areas and equipment are maintained to the highest possible standard
- Assists in cleaning, clearing, washing within the kitchen, including deep cleaning
- Take responsibility for their duties which will include but will not be limited to preparation of food, stock control, portion control and minimizing wastage.
