This individual will be part of a professional team and will partner with the efforts of others in the region to advance sales and market penetration of Masimo products and solutions. All activities will be done in coordination with the Sales Area Manager and Senior Clinical Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will be in charge of the clinical application support in pulse oximetry and pulse CO-Oximetry as well as various patient monitoring solutions.
- Will be responsible for educating Masimo customers on our products and solutions, thus an ability to transfer knowledge is a must.
- Will work with the field in developing research accounts and conduct and follow-up on clinical evaluations involving Masimo technology.
- This position will be a highly regarded and sought after source of reliable and clinically trustworthy information by customers and Masimo team members alike.
- Must keep abreast of and seek out new information and clinical papers related to the market Masimo serves.
- Together with the Area Manager, the Senior Clinical Specialist and the local distributors will participate in the planning and execution of overall Key Account Sales programs, and coordination of resources necessary to optimize strategies in close relationship with our partners in each country of the region of responsibility.
- Will promote Masimo SET and Brain Function Monitoring as the new standard for non-invasive monitoring, and participate in programs to build and maintain end-user awareness (e.g., trade shows, regional symposiums, competitive analysis, etc.).
- Maintain thorough product knowledge including the ability to demonstrate products and position products vs. competitive products.

- If necessary, provide clinical support for other territories.
- Will be responsible for sales of all Masimo products in assigned territory.
- Will execute strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital) to the use of Masimo products in a highly competitive market.
- Will visit and keep in touch with physicians and hospital administrators in territory.
- Will engage in selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning Masimo's technology as the new standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other non-invasive blood parameters' monitoring systems.
- Must answer the enquiries of customers about prices, certifications, and characteristics of MASIMO products.
- Must keep in touch with appropriate Distributors and OEM sales personnel in order to execute sales strategies to convert accounts.
- Will provide information to upper management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements.
- Participate in hospital bid tenders.
- Provide regular sales forecasts to upper management.
- Manage expense budget for all required activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or similar level of education, e.g. Nurse/Respiratory Therapist/Biomedical Engineer or any other Health science degree. Other disciplines considered depending on experience and expertise.
- Proven knowledge of both disposable products and capital equipment use in hospitals and the ability to communicate value-based solutions.
- Minimum 2 years working directly or related to critical care, NICU, PICU (Neo-natal and Pediatrics highly advantageous), O.R. or emergency medical experience preferred.
- Prior sales/clinical support experience preferred.
- Direct experience in customer interactions and presentations.
- Educational or research experience preferred.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Comfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidence.
- PC literate and have excellent organizational skills.
- PowerPoint presentation skills will be necessary to communicate Masimo's vision and value proposition.
- Experience interacting with physicians and hospital administrators.
- Independent problem solver with prior managerial/leadership experience preferred.
- Results oriented with a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of urgency to get things done.
- Ability to be an integral part of an innovative, fast-paced clinical & business development team.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively; accustomed to a heavy travel schedule.
- Must be a self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
