Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw audio files into polished podcast episodes using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Descript, etc.).
  • Remove filler words, background noise, and awkward pauses while maintaining natural flow and tone.
  • Add intro/outro music, voiceovers, ads, and sound effects as per episode format.
  • Normalize volume, apply EQ, compression, and other necessary mastering tools for broadcast-quality audio.
  • Collaborate with content creators to understand the theme, tone, and branding of each podcast.
  • Deliver edited episodes within the agreed turnaround time (usually 48–72 hours).
  • Manage file organization and metadata tagging for episode uploads.
  • Ensure audio complies with streaming platform standards (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in podcast/audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Hindenburg, Reaper).
  • Strong understanding of sound design, audio leveling, noise reduction, and mastering techniques.
