Job Summary:
GracePath Healthcare is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Health Care Assistants to join our growing team in Beckenham. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality personal care and support to our clients in their homes or care settings, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Support clients with meals and hydration according to dietary plans
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in health conditions
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Administer medication as per care plans (if trained and delegated)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Liaise with families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when needed
- Adhere to infection control and health and safety protocols
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine passion for care and empathy towards vulnerable individuals
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and patient care
- Eligibility to work in the UK (Visa sponsorship provided for suitable overseas candidates)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and mobility tasks
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not mandatory
- Full training will be provided for candidates new to the care sector
- Overseas healthcare or caregiving experience will be considered
Working Hours:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and night shifts
- Rotational shifts and block hours offered based on availability and client needs
