Hours: 40 hours per week (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)
Home Instead is looking for an experienced, professional and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our service and ensure the highest standards of care, compliance and operational performance. About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be accountable to the Directors and responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of the branch in line with CQC and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care for all clients
- Overseeing scheduling to ensure all client calls are covered in advance
- Maintaining 24-hour service availability via an on-call rota
- Implementing systems to monitor quality and performance
- Managing the full care process from initial enquiry to ongoing service delivery
- Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance with Policies and Procedures
- Handling safeguarding concerns, complaints and incidents appropriately
- Building strong relationships with clients, families and external professionals
- Contributing to networking and business development activity
People Management
You will be responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing development of all staff, including:
- Recruiting high-quality Care Professionals and office staff
- Managing onboarding, induction and mandatory training
- Conducting supervisions, observations and annual appraisals
- Monitoring performance, retention and engagement
- Ensuring staff work within Home Instead standards and Codes of Conduct
- Supporting a positive, motivated and professional team culture
Quality and Compliance
A key part of the role is ensuring full compliance and excellent standards of care, including:
- Carrying out client assessments, care planning and reviews
- Conducting regular quality assurance visits and checks
- Ensuring continuity of care and effective matching
- Maintaining up-to-date records on the Care Management System
- Implementing and reviewing policies, procedures and risk assessments
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong IT skills and experience with care management systems
- Relevant qualification or willingness to work towards this
