We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to take responsibility for the quality, compliance and day-to-day delivery of a well-established domiciliary care service in Solihull. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about high-quality care, strong compliance and developing a great team, with the support of an experienced Operations Manager working alongside them.

The service currently delivers approximately 2,000 hours of care per month and has strong foundations in place. While there are ambitions to continue growing the branch, business development will not sit solely with the Registered Manager. You will work closely with an Operations Manager who is actively focused on business development and growth, allowing you to concentrate on ensuring the operational side of the service is safe, compliant and delivering care to an excellent standard.

The Role

  • Taking overall responsibility for CQC compliance, quality and regulatory standards
  • Ensuring care is safe, effective, responsive and person-centred
  • Maintaining strong systems around care planning, risk assessments, audits, medication and safeguarding
  • Ensuring the service remains inspection-ready and proactively addressing any areas for improvement
  • Leading, supporting and developing the office and care teams
  • Monitoring service delivery and ensuring standards are maintained as the branch grows
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, supervision and retention of Care Assistants
  • Building strong relationships with clients, families and external professionals
  • Managing complaints, incidents and safeguarding matters appropriately
  • Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager, who will have a particular focus on business development and increasing care hours
  • Ensuring that growth is supported by the right staffing, processes and quality standards

About You

We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in running a high-quality, compliant care service. You may already be an experienced Registered Manager, or you could be a strong Deputy Manager who is ready to take the next step and has the knowledge and confidence to take responsibility for a regulated service. You will ideally have:

  • Previous management experience within domiciliary care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding, care planning, risk management and quality assurance
  • Experience leading and developing care and office teams
  • The confidence to challenge poor practice and maintain high standards
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to audits, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • An understanding of the commercial realities of running a successful domiciliary care service
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK

What’s on Offer

  • £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension
  • Supportive ownership and infrastructure
  • An Operations Manager working alongside you with a focus on business development
  • Autonomy to lead and develop the quality and operational side of the service
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact within an established branch with ambitions for the future

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys the quality and operational side of care management and wants to work within a business where growth is important, but where they will have support with the business development required to achieve it. If you’re an experienced domiciliary care professional who cares about doing things properly and maintaining excellent standards, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
