We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Auditor to join our Technical Team on site in Comber. This is a production floor-based role and you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing operation, verifying that our raw material, production processes, and finished products consistently meet food safety, legal, and customer quality standards. You'll work closely with our Operations team, conducting audits, carrying out checks, and ensuring our quality management systems are implemented correctly and recorded accurately. This role suits someone who takes pride in doing things properly and who understands that quality isn't a tick-box exercise; it's what protects our people, our customers, and our reputation.
Your role will include:
- Carry out GMP audits of the production environment, covering people, process, and product
- Conduct hygiene and fabrication audits to verify site standards are met
- Complete internal audits against a defined schedule, ensuring practices and procedures align with BRCGS and other applicable standards
- Perform product sampling and environmental equipment swabbing in line with the schedule or in response to identified issues
- Verify and calibrate testing equipment daily, escalating any concerns and maintaining the calibration schedule
- Monitor and verify incoming raw materials against specification
- Review and maintain quality records, HACCP documentation, production logs, and traceability records
- Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions, supporting root cause investigation and resolution
- Support the Technical Team in new product trials and process changes
- Assist in the preparation for and delivery of external customer and third-party audits
- Communicate findings and quality concerns clearly to managers, assistant managers, team leaders, and the wider Technical Team
- Support production colleagues in understanding and correctly following food safety and quality procedures
Working hours: You’ll work Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm, as part of a 45-hour working week.

What we are looking for: We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a quality, technical, or production role within a food manufacturing environment
- Sound understanding of HACCP principles and GMP
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations quickly and accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to record findings clearly and raise issues confidently
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Experience working to BRCGS certification standards
- HNC, HND or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
- Familiarity with allergen management and traceability systems
- Internal auditor training or qualification
