The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Working with the company’s Finance and Management teams to process weekly and salaried payroll for Mash Direct and for Mash Farm. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to support wider Accounts and HR projects to help drive the company towards its key strategic goals.

To excel at Mash Direct it is important to share our ethos, be able to work well as part of a team and maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude at work. Applicants should have 2 to 5 years experience working in a payroll function (c250 employees) and able to demonstrate practical experience of the following:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Administer and process end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll for c250 employees using Sage software, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Statutory Deductions: Calculate and process PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate records, updating changes promptly (starters, leavers, employment status, role changes).
  • Time and Attendance: Manage and reconcile records reporting payroll data daily to Senior Leadership.
  • Payments: Upload payments to the bank account each week once payroll is finalised.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit statutory reports (RTI, EPS, FPS, ONS) and generate payroll reports for management KPI information.
  • Support: Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Year-End Transactions: Complete payroll year-end transactions and assist in audits.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and managers to ensure seamless payroll processes and accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and review controls.
  • HMRC Forms: Process P60s, P45s, P11Ds, and Annual Returns.
