It will be your responsibility to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production equipment through effective maintenance support. This role will focus on rapid response to breakdowns, accurate fault-finding, and completion of planned maintenance to minimise downtime. Beyond the tools and troubleshooting, this role is about taking pride in keeping the line running smoothly so our food is ready for its place on every table.
Your role will include:
- Liaising with production managers and shift supervisors to determine day-to-day maintenance and production priorities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across plant equipment, keeping up-to-date maintenance records of all daily activities
- Playing a key role in developing and implementing a continuous improvement program & culture
- Performing daily in-depth fault finding, Root Cause Analyses, diagnosis and breakdown repairs
- Complying with Company and Government legislation regarding Health & Safety and ensuring H&S standards are maintained to the highest standards
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on plant control systems
- Investigating the nature of plant failures and subsequently carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid loss of plant production
- Installing, modifying and commissioning new plant equipment to high standards
- Ensuring, as part of the engineering team, that a safe, clean and tidy working environment is maintained
- Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to co-operate and deal tactfully and diplomatically with a variety of people, both internal and external
Working hours: You'll work five days across Monday to Saturday, as part of a 45-hour working week.

What we're looking for:
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ qualification
- Experience in FMCG environments preferably food
- Skilled experience in fault finding and repair
- Reliable with good time management

- Excellent communicator, strong analytical, oral/written communication
