What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Auditor to join our Technical Team on site in Comber. This is a production floor‑based role where you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing operation, verifying that raw materials, production processes, and finished products consistently meet food safety, legal, and customer quality standards. You’ll work closely with our Operations team, conducting audits, carrying out checks, and ensuring our quality management systems are implemented correctly and recorded accurately. This role suits someone who takes pride in doing things properly and understands that quality protects our people, our customers, and our reputation.

Your role will include:

  • Carrying out GMP audits across people, process, and product
  • Conducting hygiene and fabrication audits to verify site standards
  • Completing internal audits in line with BRCGS and other standards
  • Performing product sampling and environmental swabbing
  • Verifying and calibrating testing equipment daily
  • Monitoring incoming raw materials against specification
  • Reviewing and maintaining quality records and traceability documentation
  • Identifying non‑conformances and supporting corrective actions
  • Supporting new product trials and process changes
  • Assisting with customer and third‑party audits
  • Communicating quality findings clearly across teams
  • Supporting colleagues in following food safety and quality procedures

Working hours

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 6am – 3pm, as part of a 45‑hour working week.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a quality, technical, or production role within a food manufacturing environment
  • Sound understanding of HACCP principles and GMP
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations quickly and accurately
  • Good communication skills with the ability to record findings clearly and raise issues confidently

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience working to BRCGS certification standards
  • HNC, HND, or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with allergen management and traceability systems
  • Internal auditor training or qualification
