Domiciliary Care Assistant – Community Based
Location: Shrewsbury (SY1, SY2 & SY3)
Available Shifts We can offer a good degree of flexibility around working patterns. Whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time hours, evening work, or a few shifts each week to fit around other commitments, we'd be happy to discuss options that work for you.
We have a range of shifts available, including:
07:00 – 14:00
16:00 – 22:00
17:00 – 22:00
There is flexibility around evening start times depending on your availability. We welcome applications from candidates who may only be available on certain days of the week, as well as those looking for more regular hours.
Visits typically range from: 30-minute calls, 45-minute calls and 1-hour calls
We aim to be as flexible as possible while ensuring continuity of care for the people we support.
Pay Rate: Β£13.50 - Β£14.00 per hour
Mileage Allowance: 40p per mile
Paid Travel Time Between Visits

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals within their own homes.
You will play a vital role in helping people maintain their independence, dignity,
and quality of life while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.
The Role As a Care Assistant, you will provide tailored support to individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and comfortably.
Support will be based on each person's individual needs, preferences, and care plan.
Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Assisting with medication
  • Preparing meals and drinks
  • Helping with household tasks
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Shopping and collecting prescriptions
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Following care plans and risk assessments
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Reporting changes in a client's health or wellbeing
What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A minimum of 6 months care experience
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable and professional approach
  • The right to work in the UK
Training and Support We provide a comprehensive induction programme including:
  • E-learning training
  • Classroom-based training
  • Two dedicated training sessions
  • Shadowing shifts based on experience
  • Ongoing support from the branch team
