As a Care Assistant, you'll support clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and a good quality of life.

Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including

  • Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
  • Supporting with morning and evening routines, including getting up, ready for the day, or settled for the night
  • Preparing meals and drinks, and assisting with feeding where required
  • Carrying out light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe environment
  • Offering companionship—having meaningful conversations, providing emotional support, and reducing loneliness
  • Administering or prompting medication in line with care plans
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping trips, or social activities
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the office team
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families
