ABAP/BRF+ Consultant (Fixed-Term Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ABAP & BRF+ Consultant to join our SAP Gold Partner consulting client, providing development and delivery of SAP solutions for a large-scale public sector end customer.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day work will include:

• Analysing, designing, and developing reports and dashboards based on business requirements
• Actively participating in Agile planning and development processes
• Mentoring and leading junior consultants
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient ABAP code
• Participating in client workshops, requirement-gathering, and analysis
• Contributing to functional/technical specifications and business process definitions
• Using SAP Service Marketplace for ticket creation, research, reviewing release notes, and advising customers on release strategy
• Authoring test plans and supporting test automation
• Handling system installation, configuration, tuning, and transport management
• Managing security, authorisation, and system upgrades
• Supporting incident management and data migration activities

What You Will Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 5–6 years of ABAP development experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ hands-on BRF+ experience
• Strong expertise in Reports, Module Pool, Forms, RFC, BAPI, BADI, BDC, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and ABAP OO
• Proven experience creating BRF+ functions, rules/expressions, rulesets, and decision tables
• Advanced debugging skills for ABAP and BRF+
• Ability to understand functional specifications and translate them into technical solutions
• Capability to independently manage customer expectations and deliverables
