Masentó are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a consultancy supporting a major London market insurance client at the discovery phase of a new technology platform implementation. This is a critical, ground-floor role shaping requirements, processes, and stakeholder alignment before the build begins. This is a 6 month contract outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support discovery activities for a new commercial/insurance technology platform implementation.
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements across underwriting, claims, and related functions.
- Manage relationships with senior and cross-functional stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
- Support end-to-end delivery through subsequent implementation phases (design, build, test, deployment).
- Identify process gaps, risks, and dependencies, and propose pragmatic solutions.
- Produce high-quality documentation: process maps, requirements specifications, user stories, and gap analyses.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with business objectives.
Essential Experience
- 5–7 years' experience as a Business Analyst within London market insurance.
- Proven experience with commercial insurance technology programmes, e.g. claims platforms, underwriting platforms.
- Demonstrable end-to-end implementation experience (discovery through to go-live).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging at all levels including senior leadership.
- Experience working within structured project/programme delivery environments (Agile and/or Waterfall).
