We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Masefield Veterinary Centre.

Location: Malvern

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 26.75 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday between 08.00 – 19.30 and a 1:4 share in the Saturday rota.

You will be working on a two-week rolling rota consisting of early and late shifts eg. 09.00 – 14.00 and 14.00 -19.30.

Week 1: Will include 2 early shifts, 3 late shifts

Week 2: Will include 2 late shifts, 3 early shifts

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we\’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

The successful candidates will require a good telephone manner, the ability to multi-task, have a good sense of humour and be empathetic.

Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness would be an advantage.

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
