About The Role
Leading a highly successful sales team, you will spend most of your time in the South of England and be responsible for:
- Utilising 20% of your time towards management duties and 80% toward sales activities.
- Attending the UK head office for sales meetings 1 day per month.
- Conducting annual appraisals and identifying product training needs within the team.
- Ensuring a fair distribution of work based on the size of the customer and the attention they need.
- Commercial guidance on discounting.
- Staff development, support and sales training.
- Conducting dual customer calls with your team when required on more complex projects.
- Cultivating existing customers (80%) and hunting for new business (20%).
- Developing and growing your own multimillion pound customer base.
- Supporting in the setting and delivery of the annual sales budget.
- Securing specifications orders on new lift/elevator projects with a value from £10K to £250K.
- Drawing upon the knowledge of the Technical Director for support on more technically challenging applications.
- Attending customer visits across the south of the UK with a concentration in the Southeast.
About You
It’s essential that you have sales experience in the Lift / Elevator / Escalator industry and ideally have proven success working with Lift Consultants and Contractors to gain specification on to projects within the UK. Past leadership experience is beneficial, however with this also being a hands-on sales role, my client is open to considering a Senior Sales Consultant who is ready for that next step in their career. You must be comfortable working on bespoke solutions and specifying systems that best suit customer needs. Personal attributes needed include professionalism, organisation, and self-discipline with the communication skills and personality to build lasting relationships with clients. It is essential you’re based in the South of England and are comfortable travelling within the region.
