OEM Sales Manager – Power Connectors Are you a talented business developer with proven success selling electrical connectors to the OEM market? With a multimillion-pound turnover and advanced manufacturing capabilities, my client has become a leading supplier of electrical connectors for a number of key and critical applications. Following consecutive record-breaking sales years, coupled with the explosive growth in key markets, my client wishes to bolster its efforts by recruiting a sector specialist to take a dedicated and focused approach to developing sales within the UK Power Distribution market. Rewards & Benefits * £52K – £62K Basic (Starting salary dependent on experience) * Up to £20K Bonus * Company Car (Hybrid) * Up to 12% Pension Contribution * Subsidised BUPA Healthcare * Employee Assistance Programs * Critical Illness Cover * 7 x Life Assurance * 26 Days Holiday (rising with service to 36 days) + Public Holidays * Training & further education funding * Company Fuel & Credit Card About The Role Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for: * Covering the UK, forging solid relationships with OEMs of power distribution, power transmission and load bank equipment to name a few. * Operating in a 60% new business and 40% account management role. * Developing and managing relationships with Design Engineers, Program Leaders, and Procurement. * Increasing the company’s engagement within Power applications. * Understanding customer project needs and providing guidance and input on the best-proposed solution. * Acting as the market specialist within this segment. * Handling inquiries from your customer base. (Inhouse technical support, marketing and sales admin are available to assist). * Attending industry events, exhibitions and shows. * Inheriting a territory turnover of £1.5m, with an objective of growing the division to over £3m by the close of 2027. About You It\’s essential you possess a minimum of 2 years OEM technical sales experience. My client is open to consider candidates with proven history selling electrical connectors alternatively individuals who have sold other components such as cable assemblies and sensors bit to the same market (OEMs of power distribution / power transmission equipment). A related education would be beneficial but not essential should you possess the aptitude to learn. Other key skills needed: * Customer focussed mindset. * Ability to find solutions to customer problems. * Self-motivated and comfortable with both standard and customised component sales cycles. * Familiar with opening doors at design engineering and procurement level. * Hunter mentality with a desire to identify new prospects. * Able to operate autonomously. * Excellent communication skills with a consultative sales approach. * Willingness to travel. * Prepared to learn. * Full driving license. ———————————————————- Interested in this role?
