Job Description

To organise and assist in the management of the full development portfolio at every stage of the asset development process, liaising internally with the connections, planning, commercial and delivery teams to ensure that sites are developed with the end goal of optimal operational trading from the outset. To solve challenges as they occur and proactively work to ensure project progresses smoothly and swiftly to ready to build status.

Responsibilities:

Project administration

Work closely with Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans with resources, timeframes and project budgets and:

  • Manage the electronic filing system, monitoring it to facilitate consistent filing disciplines.
  • Take minutes of internal and external meetings and action point follow up with team.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders
  • Manage key dates across every aspect of the development: Legal (option expiry, payment dates, etc.), Grid (offer due dates, acceptance dates, milestones, etc.), Planning (permission expiry, etc.), and Travel arrangements, logistics and optimising site visits

Contribution to legal activities

  • Assist in the maintenance of strong relationships with landowners throughout development process, keeping them informed of progress and providing updates as necessary.
  • Review land searches and prepare search plans with potential connection points for required service media to development.
  • Ensure all legal obligations within agreements are adhered to.
  • Request and incept required title indemnity insurance policies to cover any potential site risk.

Contribution to grid work

  • Request novation agreements, chasing updates on Project Progression
  • BEGA and BCA applications.
  • Work with the connections team to ensure best possible outcome of every grid offer.

Planning for sites

  • Plan history search to assist in the identification of new sites.
  • Assist in collating fee proposals from consultants.
  • Arrange consultant site visits with landowners.

Acquisition and disposal

  • Appraise external acquisition data rooms for potential sites.
  • Compile and update data rooms for external consultant review during due diligence.
  • Assist in monitoring inbound due diligence questions.

Project management and reporting

  • Ensure filing, naming and updating of all relevant project information is undertaken in a timely and precise manner.
  • Monitor the project budgets and progress across external consultants, grid connections, legal work and design, recommending corrective actions if necessary.

Project handover

  • Assist with handover once project achieves RTB status and provide assistance to the delivery team to ensure smooth transition into construction.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or any other energy or sustainability related field

Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of proven experience in project management discipline with 1 year in roles involving utility scale renewable energy project development
