Quality Counsel Law Limited (QCL), a young and ambitious IAA-regulated law firm, is looking to hire an experienced Immigration Appeals Solicitor to join their thriving Immigration team in London. What does the Immigration team look like? We are a friendly team, focused on serving our clients with compassion with the best legal advice and work. We work on all the immigration applications – Application for entry clearance or leave to enter to the UK, Leave to Remain in the UK, Nationality and Citizenship, Asylum & Human rights cases, Business Immigration and other various areas. We pride ourselves as one of the best human rights claim firms across the UK and also manage to get other complex immigration cases granted. Our skills and expertise with immigration law has led us to expand into 3 cities within 4 years from the inception of the firm. We work as a team, support, help and appreciate each other.
What would you be expected to do?
- Handling Immigration Appeals: Represent clients in immigration appeals before the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, and higher courts on matters such as human rights appeals, Asylum claims, Deportation etc. Prepare and submit comprehensive appeal applications, including written submissions and evidence. Conduct legal research to ensure up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
- Client Acquisition and Retention: Build and maintain relationships with clients seeking immigration appeal services. Actively source and engage potential clients through marketing, networking, and community outreach. Provide excellent client care and maintain client satisfaction.
- Billing Target Achievement: Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual billing targets. Maintain accurate timekeeping records and invoices. Ensure that fees are collected in a timely manner.
- Legal Expertise: Stay up to date with changes in immigration laws and regulations. Provide expert legal advice to clients and colleagues. Conduct legal research as necessary to support cases.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of immigration appeals cases efficiently and effectively. Prepare and maintain case files, including all relevant documentation. Attend court hearings and advocate on behalf of clients.
Who are we looking for?
- Qualified solicitor in immigration/ Qualified Level 3 IAA caseworker.
- A minimum of 3 years PQE.
- Proven track record in successfully handling immigration appeals cases.
- Strong client acquisition and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Goal-oriented and the ability to meet billing targets.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
- Knowledge of the UK immigration laws and regulations.
