About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Accounting Technician to support our client accounting and compliance services.
You will work closely with our senior accountants to deliver high-quality bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and tax compliance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bookkeeping records using accounting software.
- Assist with management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Support VAT returns and HMRC submissions.
- Process payroll and related reporting.
- Assist with personal and corporation tax computations.
- Maintain accurate client records and compliance documentation.
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries.
Requirements
- AAT qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification).
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
- Knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, or Sage).
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical ability.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work within a team.
- Bonus Skills
- Payroll experience.
- Multilingual skills (a plus in our diverse client base).
- Experience with HMRC portals and compliance filings.
