About Us: At Masabi, we're powering the journeys of millions by making public transport payments simple, accessible, and seamless, whether through a mobile app, a ticket machine, or tapping a bank card. Our Justride platform is live in over 250 cities worldwide, and we partner with leaders like Uber, Moovit and Transit to drive the future of fare collection. Your journey matters too. At Masabi, you'll join a team of innovators with the tools and support to build the career you want.
The Role: As Masabi scales from a successful mid-market SaaS platform to serving some of the world's busiest cities, we are hiring a VP Product Platform to lead the next stage of our technology. This role will help mature Justride, Masabi's core fare collection platform, into an enterprise-grade SaaS offering that supports large-scale, mission-critical transit systems across Europe and North America. Reporting to our CPO, you will lead the strategy and roadmap across mobile ticketing and payments, Account-Based Ticketing, EMV, our API and integration layer, and the foundations that underpin reliability, performance and service tiers. You will guide a team of 10+ product managers and BAs, working across the organisation to deliver scalable and commercially meaningful capabilities for the cities and agencies we serve. As a senior leader within Product and Engineering, you will shape the long-term direction of Justride's platform capabilities and contribute to the decisions that guide Masabi's growth.
Location: We are a remote-first company. This role is open to candidates working from our London office in a hybrid capacity, or fully remote from anywhere in the UK or Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Platform Strategy and Execution: Set and own strategy across Masabi's core platform domains, including ABT, EMV, mobile ticketing, the fare engine and APIs. Prioritise work based on customer needs, market context and delivery impact. Ensure platform strategy supports enterprise deal success and high-quality delivery. Apply commercial thinking to product decisions, including public sector RFPs.
- Roadmap Delivery and Leadership: Own the roadmap across multiple product areas and customer programmes. Balance long-term investment with the needs of large, complex deployments. Lead the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and iteration. Make clear trade-offs across investment, commitments and technical sustainability.
- Market Leadership and Commercial Impact: Build strong market and customer understanding to inform strategy and investment. Stay close to competitors, emerging technologies and industry trends. Represent Masabi as a senior product voice in selected customer and industry settings. Track success through adoption, commercial outcomes and customer impact.
- Engineering and Quality Partnership: Partner closely with Engineering to deliver the roadmap and strengthen reliability at scale. Clearly articulate non-functional requirements such as SLAs, observability and performance. Support shared quality standards and clear expectations of what good looks like.
- APIs and Integrations: Treat APIs and integrations as first-class products. Improve the developer and partner experience through better coverage, documentation and tooling. Support internal and external teams to build effectively on our services.
- Leadership and Team Growth: Lead and develop a team of product managers and product program leads. Build a collaborative, outcome-focused product culture. Coach emerging leaders and contribute to the wider Product and Engineering leadership team.
About You: You are a senior platform product leader with experience operating at scale across complex technology and enterprise environments. You understand what it takes to run products that are reliable, commercially healthy and ready for scale.
Experience:
- Senior product leadership experience owning complex platforms or multi-product portfolios.
- Background in payments, transit or mobility, fintech, or integration-heavy B2B SaaS.
- Experience working with enterprise or public sector customers, including RFP-led environments.
- Experience leading teams of eight plus people across multiple products or programmes.
- A track record of driving meaningful commercial outcomes.
Skills and Mindset:
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations and non-functional requirements.
- Comfortable balancing long-term strategy with time-sensitive delivery.
- Commercially thoughtful and pragmatic in decision-making.
- Calm, outcome-focused and comfortable working through ambiguity.
