A great opportunity has arisen to work for a family business based in Olney, where they are big enough to cope but small enough to care. They have a great client base and are looking for an individual to join their project management team. Initially this is a 3 – 6 month contract but who knows what the future holds for this fast moving organisation.
Daily duties are likely to involve:
- Working from the prestigious Olney office (no hybrid or remote) you will be responsible for the coordination of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within the quoted margin and communicate with the customers.
- Planning all subcontract labour, order equipment, and any necessary plant, to be on site in accordance with any programme that the business may be required to comply with to deliver a project.
- Raise all purchase orders and associated requisitions for the works in a timely manner to ensure the above is achieved and ensure this is in place before any works take place.
- To monitor progress of the works and ensure all necessary handover documentation is received and any customer portals updated with required information.
- Liaise with the accounts team for the works to be invoiced and update company reports accordingly.
- Complete service quotations to an agreed specification, produce quotations and costing sheets, upload information to customer portals as required for works in accordance with company policies.
- To highlight immediately any potential issues with the directors.
- Carry out weekly review and update of pipeline to ensure works allocated to this role are accurately reflected on the pipelines.
In return, what we need from you:
- Due to the nature of the business you will be subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
- Previous experience of dealing with quotations, subcontractors, internal and external staffing would be ideal.
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of dealing with projects from start to finish.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Attention to detail is a must due to sensitive details of the projects.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Work in the office Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.
- Be available immediately and be able to commit to the length of the contract.
