We are offering an unpaid internship placement for a current UK university student who wants to gain hands-on experience in content creation and social media within an international education-focused organisation. This role is specifically designed as a learning internship, not as a paid job or replacement for a staff position. It is suitable for students who are curious, motivated and want real exposure to how content and communication work in practice, under guidance and with support.

The internship is unpaid. In return, we offer practical experience, real involvement in ongoing projects and close insight into a highly specialised sector. This is not simulated or theoretical work, but tasks adapted for a student internship level with a strong learning focus.

During the internship, the trainee will support our team with the following tasks:

  • Generating ideas for social media posts and carousel-style content under guidance
  • Assisting with basic video processing and simple video editing
  • Helping to build and maintain a structured content plan together with the team
  • Supporting competitor research and preparing simple comparison tables and summaries
  • Taking part in interviews with first-year students and helping to organise and summarise the material
  • Searching for relevant online materials for content ideas and preparing short summaries or transcriptions
  • Working with digital tools and platforms used for content planning and production

Alongside content and social media experience, the intern will gain in-depth insight into the UK education sector. We are a Guardianship organisation working closely with international students, families and schools, so the role offers a rare opportunity to understand how this field operates from the inside.

The intern will observe how professionals communicate with students and parents, how sensitive educational topics are handled, and how decisions are made in real educational contexts. This experience goes beyond standard marketing internships and provides valuable sector-specific knowledge.

This internship is suitable only for candidates who:

  • Are currently enrolled as a student at a UK university
  • Have a good level of English, written and spoken
  • Speak Russian and or Ukrainian
  • Are interested in content, social media and communication as a learning path
  • Are organised, proactive and able to take responsibility for student-level tasks
  • Are looking for internship experience rather than paid employment

At the end of the internship, there may be a possibility of a paid role if the collaboration is successful and there is a clear mutual fit. If this does not happen, we will provide a detailed reference based on the work completed, suitable for future job applications. This placement is ideal for an active and thoughtful student who wants to learn, grow professionally and gain a deeper understanding of the UK education landscape through real experience.
