We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community, ensuring their well-being and happiness while their owners are unavailable. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and stimulation.
- Monitor the behaviour and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
- Maintain a safe environment for all dogs by adhering to leash laws and being aware of surroundings.
- Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication if necessary, and cleaning up after the dogs.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour and any incidents that may occur during walks.
- Manage heavy lifting when required, such as assisting larger breeds or carrying supplies.
Skills
- Veterinary experience is highly desirable to ensure proper handling of pets and understanding of animal health needs.
