We are looking for a Level 2 Qualified Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. You will help deliver high-quality care and early years education for children aged 0–5, supporting daily routines, activities, and learning experiences.

Job Purpose

To support the delivery of high-quality care and early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will work as part of a team to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.

Working Hours

Term-time only. Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
• Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment
• Observe and record children’s progress, reporting any concerns to the Room Leader or Nursery Manager
• Support daily routines including meal times, nappy changes, and personal care
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about children’s daily activities
• Attend team meetings, training, and professional development sessions

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Level 2 Early Years qualification (CACHE/NVQ or equivalent)
• Valid Paediatric First xlqdzyr Aid certificate
• Safeguarding training
• Enhanced DBS check
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with children
