Reporting to: Senior Events & Experiences Manager
Contract: FTC (12 months)
Hours: 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one‑hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; 40 hours per week.
Key Purpose: To support MCC in the accurate co‑ordination of Events & Experiences within Lord's Cricket Ground, including large/high‑profile events, targeting key clients and subsequent account management for retention and expansion of existing business. The role also focuses on achieving and delivering financial quality standards in alignment with the club's Strategic Plan.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
- In‑depth knowledge of Lord's offering (costs, capacities, venue possibilities) to advise clients.
- Knowledge of MCC's food and beverage offerings.
- Issue contracts and pre‑event invoices within agreed timescales and specified terms.
- Work closely with clients and internal event bookers to understand bespoke requirements and exceed expectations.
- Create a function sheet in iVvy and circulate a fully briefed sheet the week prior to the event.
- Ensure all relevant MCC departments are updated for successful delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers (internal and external) to fulfil client requirements.
- Create visio room plans, menu cards, buffet labels, table plans, TV screen displays as required.
- Deliver a full handover to the Operations Team.
- Attend own events when required.
- Assist with retention and expansion of existing client business (in line with all Events & Experiences annual targets).
- Maintain and increase revenue from allocated client accounts.
- Follow up events, obtain and record feedback to improve Lord's offering.
- Develop knowledge of competitor venues; participate in exhibitions and promotional events at Lord's and offsite, including evenings and weekends as required.
Person Specifications, Skills & Qualifications:
- Passionate about events industry and strong event coordination experience.
- Strong customer focus, achieving and maintaining exceptional service levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy.
- Enjoy working in a team and supporting colleagues.
- Outstanding attention to detail and conscientious, professional approach.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- High initiative and organisational ability.
- Tact, discretion, and ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels; treat clients, colleagues, and suppliers with respect and courtesy.
- High standard of personal presentation.
- Flexibility with respect to working hours.
- Experience in a large venue delivering high‑profile events is an advantage.
