Location: West Sussex – Lancing, Worthing & Hassocks
Pay: Β£13.85 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time
Contract: Permanent

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role.

SDR is looking for a Peripatetic Support Worker to join our team, providing flexible staffing support across our bespoke services throughout West Sussex, including Lancing, Worthing and Hassocks.

This role gives you the opportunity to work with different teams and support individuals with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs across a range of services.

You will normally be allocated to one service for your full shift. Your allocated service may vary from shift to shift depending on staffing needs, but you would not generally be expected to travel between services during the working day, except in exceptional or emergency circumstances.

You will therefore need to be flexible about where you work and able to travel independently to our services across West Sussex.

Mileage is paid at Β£0.55 per mile for eligible work-related travel beyond your normal commute.

What you'll be doing

Providing person-centred support to individuals across our services

Supporting people with their daily routines and promoting independence

Building positive relationships with the people we support

Supporting activities, appointments and community outings

Assisting with personal care where required

Working alongside different teams and adapting to different service environments

Supporting individuals with different needs and routines

You will need

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

The ability to travel independently to different SDR services for your allocated shifts

A caring, reliable, and flexible approach

Previous care or support experience is desirable. Full training and support will be provided.
