Hours: 36 hours per week

We are recruiting a Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at St George’s Lodge - Residential Care Home , a small 26-bed residential care home in Worthing, West Sussex.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with older people, values meaningful relationships, and wants to work in a calm, supportive and homely environment where every resident is known individually.

Because of our small size, you will have the opportunity to build genuine relationships with residents and make a real difference to their comfort, safety and wellbeing throughout the night .

About the Role

As a Night Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents throughout the night, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and treated with dignity and respect.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing compassionate, person-centred care and support

Supporting residents with personal care where required

Ensuring residents' safety, comfort and dignity throughout the night

Supporting residents with their individual routines and needs

Administering or supporting with medication where trained and authorised

Responding appropriately to residents' needs

Completing accurate care records and night handovers

Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced as a Care Assistant, ideally within elderly residential care

Flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including weekends, as required

Calm, patient and reliable

Caring and respectful in their approach

Confident communicating with residents and colleagues

Able to work as part of a team

Medication trained, or willing to undertake training

Genuinely passionate about providing good-quality care
