ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our front-of-house team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day guest experience at Farm Girl. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guest Experience: Deliver a warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every guest, ensuring they feel welcome from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.
  • Floor Service: Take orders accurately, serve food and drinks promptly, and manage your section efficiently during both busy and quieter periods.
  • Menu Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our menu, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods, so you can confidently guide guests and accommodate dietary requirements.
  • Upselling: Proactively suggest dishes, specials, and drinks pairings to enhance the guest experience and support the cafe's sales goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth, seamless service and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Cleanliness Standards: Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across the floor, tables, and service areas at all times.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and allergen procedures, escalating any concerns promptly.
  • Equipment & Station Upkeep: Keep your section and service stations well-stocked and organised, reporting any equipment issues or breakages promptly.
  • Operational Awareness: Be attentive to the flow of service and proactively support the wider team during peak periods to ensure an efficient, enjoyable experience for all guests.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar front-of-house role.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for food, drink, and wellness.
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment.
  • Great spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements (preferred).
