We are looking for a Prep Room Assistant to join our team and help with the day-to-day preparation of fresh food products.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a background in food preparation, catering, hospitality or food production who enjoys working as part of a busy team and takes pride in producing good-quality food.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and making fresh pizzas, sandwiches and other food products
- Preparing and assembling meal deals and other food-to-go products
- Following recipes, portion sizes and preparation procedures
- Preparing ingredients and ensuring the prep area is fully stocked
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and allergen procedures
- Keeping the prep room, equipment and work areas clean and organised
- Checking stock and reporting any shortages or issues
- Working efficiently to meet daily production requirements
- Supporting the wider team with general food preparation duties when required
Skills and Experience
- Has previous experience in a food preparation, catering, hospitality or food production environment
- Has a good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
- Works well under pressure in a busy environment
- Is reliable, punctual and organised
- Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
