As a Front of House Assistant, your primary role is to ensure every customer enjoys a warm welcome and excellent service. You’ll support the smooth day-to-day running of the front of house areas in both the Restaurant and Mezz.
Your key priorities and duties will be;
- Greeting and welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently using the till system and offering information about menu items when required
- Serve food and drinks with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Suggest extras like sides, desserts, or another round of drinks to give customers the best experience and boost sales
- Check in with customers during their meal to make sure they’re happy and have everything they need
- Preparing and serving drinks, including a variety of hot and cold beverages
- Processing payments using the till system, handling both cash and card transactions
- Guiding and assisting visitors in the restaurant and across the premises when necessary
- Clearing tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy
- Washing cutlery, crockery, and pots, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming front of house environment throughout the day
- Providing support in other areas of the business, as required by the management team
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the Restaurant
- Ensuring date and quality checks when required for cakes and other food items in the Restaurant
- Housekeeping- making sure workstations and back of house areas are cleaned throughout the day
- Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed
Contributing to the senior team by:
- Ensuring yourself and others uphold our Values
- Carrying out any reasonable request from the General Manager
- Prepared to work in all departments
