The Role
You will be responsible for helping to run an iconic record store with like-minded people and will report to the General Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering warm, genuine customer service
- Recommending music across genres
- Till operation and handling transactions
- Processing, replenishing and merchandising stock
- Supporting in-store events and signings
- Contributing to store social media content
- Maintaining store standards and supporting the wider team
About You - Essential:
- Enthusiastic and passionate about discovering and recommending exciting new music
- Friendly with strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude
- Possessing strong attention to detail
- The ability to multitask
- Be a strong team player
- Ability to work weekends and busy periods
- Comfortable with standing for long periods and some lifting
About You - Desirable:
- Retail or customer-facing experience
- Broad music knowledge or a keen desire to expand it
- Experience using tills or basic digital systems
- It would be preferred, but is not essential, if you also have previous experience working in a fast paced retail environment
