Notting Hill Fish + Meat is looking for an additional Online Concierge Assistant to join our team ahead of the busy Christmas season. This is a customer-focused role at the centre of our online ordering service. You’ll help customers place their orders, answer questions and ensure every detail is recorded and communicated accurately to the wider team.
Christmas is one of our busiest and most exciting times of year, so we’re looking for someone who can join us with enough time to complete a thorough training programme and build their confidence before the festive rush begins.
The role
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service to customers ordering from us online or remotely.
- Receive and process online, telephone and email orders.
- Respond promptly and warmly to customer enquiries.
- Help customers choose products and make decisions about their orders.
- Provide information about availability, portions, preparation and collection.
- Record orders accurately, including special requests and dietary requirements.
- Check order details, collection dates and customer information.
- Liaise with our fish, meat, kitchen and shop teams.
- Monitor orders from initial enquiry through to collection or delivery.
- Support the management of Christmas pre-orders and festive collections.
- Resolve queries and problems calmly and professionally.
- Keep customer and order records accurate and up to date.
- Help the concierge service remain organised during busy periods.
About you
- Warm, articulate and highly organised, with the confidence to speak to customers across telephone, email and online channels.
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or online order management.
- Clear and professional communication in writing and over the telephone.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers, ordering platforms and till systems.
- Able to manage several customer requests without losing track of the details.
- Remain calm, friendly and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Reliable and able to work confidently as part of a busy team.
- Genuine interest in food and enjoy helping customers.
- Willing to learn about our products, preparation methods and seasonal ranges.
- Available to work during the busy run-up to Christmas.
Previous food knowledge would be useful, but it isn’t essential. We’ll provide several months of training to help you develop the product knowledge and confidence needed to advise our customers properly.
