We are looking for an exceptional individual who loves food and works well in a busy customer facing environment. As a produce assistant, you will support our greengrocery team in providing an excellent customer service experience, making sure impeccable replenishment is carried out and the ability to work efficiently as a team with your colleagues to ensure stock rotation is swift and professional.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering excellent customer service in the produce department – answering queries and assisting customers with different items in the department.
- Keeping up with high standards of replenishment – rotating stock to ensure the best quality.
- The ability to work efficiently as a team when building pallets of stock and ensure the best quality is put out on the shop floor.
- Ensuring prices and relevant info is updated.
- Liaising with managers and team members to create eye catching displays.
- General housekeeping – ensuring the department is cleaned and tidied regularly.
- High standards of food, health and safety procedures followed at all times.

- Someone with a love for food! Know and learn about the food we sell: what it tastes like; how to cook it; store it; prepare it; what works well with it etc.
- An enthusiastic individual with a cheerful outlook where nothing is too much trouble and has a huge passion for the products we sell.
- Positive and polite communication skills with customers, anticipating their needs and making sure their experience is as good as it can be.
- Making sure policies and procedures relating to process, product and people are followed at all times.
