The Goods In / Goods Out Manager plays an important role in keeping Rough Trade's EU warehouse and Berlin store operating efficiently.From receiving new vinyl and merchandise to preparing international shipments, managing store transfers and ensuring inventory is accurately recorded, you'll help make sure stock gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the accurate and timely intake of inventory at Rough Trade's EU warehouse and our Berlin store. You'll coordinate incoming deliveries, receive and process stock, check shipments for accuracy and quality, and ensure everything is correctly labelled, recorded and stored.

You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring products move smoothly through our warehouse and fulfilment operations.

This is a hands-on management role, combining day-to-day goods-in operations with team coordination, stock management and close collaboration with Buying, Inventory and other Rough Trade teams.

What You'll Do

Goods In & Stock Intake

Receive and process all inbound deliveries, including vinyl records and merchandise.

Check incoming stock against packing lists and invoices.

Identify and report discrepancies promptly.

Inspect products for damage, quality issues or other problems.

Ensure stock is correctly labelled and barcoded.

Ensure received stock is placed correctly within the warehouse.

Maintain accurate documentation and logs for all received shipments.

Warehouse Transfers & Shipping

Manage shipments to other Rough Trade locations globally.

Pick and prepare stock accurately and ensure shipments meet required deadlines.

Manage the Warehouse-to-Store transfer process from end to end.

Coordinate the movement of stock between the warehouse and Berlin store.

Manage the event stock returns process from the store back to suppliers.

Manage all stock-out processes.

Inventory & Systems

Work closely with the Buying and Inventory teams.

Ensure received stock is uploaded accurately into inventory systems.

Help maintain accurate inventory records.

Investigate and communicate discrepancies between physical stock and documentation.

Ensure stock movements are properly recorded and traceable.

Team Management

Supervise warehouse colleagues involved in goods intake and stock handling.

Train team members in best practices for receiving, checking, labelling and storing stock.

Ensure goods-in processes are followed consistently.

Support a well-organised and efficient warehouse operation.

Lead by example in maintaining accuracy, organisation and high standards of stock handling.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable taking responsibility for the movement and intake of stock .

You'll need to be able to manage multiple deliveries and stock movements while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You'll ideally have experience in:

Warehouse or goods-in operations.

Stock receiving and inventory management.

Checking deliveries against invoices or packing lists.

Product quality and damage checks.

Labelling and barcoding stock.

Warehouse-to-store transfers.

Preparing and shipping stock.

Supervising or training warehouse colleagues.

You'll also be:

Highly organised and methodical.

Accurate and detail-focused.

Comfortable working to deadlines.

Confident supervising and supporting colleagues.

Able to identify and escalation stock discrepancies.

Comfortable working across different teams.

Proactive in solving day-to-day operational issues.

Reliable and hands-on in your approach.

Fluency in both German and English is required for this role.
