Situated on the stunning East Lothian coastline, we are just 18 miles from Edinburgh and a short distance from North Berwick, Haddington and other East Lothian towns.
We are currently inviting applications for enthusiastic and self-motivated Kitchen Porters to join our team. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities, with flexible working hours. Due to the nature of the business, this will involve some weekend and evening working.
What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Supporting our team of chefs, you’ll ensure all cleaning routines are completed efficiently and professionally throughout our kitchen.
- Making sure all crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and pristine before reaching our Members and guests, with outstanding attention to detail.
- Cleaning food preparation areas, equipment and keeping the Kitchen Porter area organised.
- Keeping work surfaces, walls, and floors clean and sanitised.
- Being aware of emergency, safety and first aid procedures and reporting all accidents to the duty manager.
Who we are looking for:
- Ideally having a sound knowledge of hospitality industry kitchens.
- Excellent time keeping skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible approach, with ability for evening and weekend work, as necessary.
- Must be able to follow supervisory instructions and communicate well.
