Male Personal Support Assistant – Brain Injury & Epilepsy Support (2:1)

Pay: Days £21,338 per annum | Nights £14,764 per annum

We are looking for a Male Personal Support Assistant to provide person-centred support to a young individual living with an acquired brain injury and epilepsy in Hailsham.

This is a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day. You will support the individual to maintain their independence, build confidence, enjoy new experiences and take part in activities they love.

No two days are the same. You could be supporting with community outings, appointments, hobbies, outdoor activities or simply helping to create a positive and enjoyable daily routine.

Available Positions

Day Personal Support Assistant – 29 hours per week on average - £14.15 per hour

The role operates on a rolling 4-week rota:

• 30.75 hours per week for three weeks
• 23.5 hours in the fourth week

A full UK driving licence is essential for the day role.

Night Personal Support Assistant – 20.5 hours per week - £13.85 per hour

Working Sunday and Monday nights.

As a Night Personal Support Assistant, you will provide consistent support throughout the night, helping to ensure the individual remains safe, comfortable and well supported.

What You'll Be Doing

Your role may include:

• Supporting daily routines and promoting independence
• Accompanying the individual to appointments and activities
• Driving and supporting community outings and days out
• Encouraging hobbies, social opportunities and activities
• Providing emotional reassurance and positive encouragement
• Supporting with personal care where required
• Supporting with epilepsy management in line with individual care and support plans
• Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to changes in needs
• Maintaining a safe, structured and enjoyable environment
• Completing relevant records and handovers
• Responding calmly and appropriately in an emergency

The individual enjoys an active lifestyle and takes part in activities such as:

• Ball games
• Trampolining
• Picnics and days out
• Community outings and local events

• Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs
• Full UK driving licence for the day role
• A caring, patient and reliable approach
• Ability to remain calm and responsive when supporting someone with complex needs
• Genuine passion for supporting people to live independently and achieve their goals
