Homebar is looking for Front of House Team Members to run the bar day to day - making smoothies, coffee and matcha, taking orders, and giving every customer the kind of fast, sharp, energising experience that keeps them coming back before or after their workout. You'll be the face of Homebar for most of our customers, so how you make a drink matters just as much as how you make someone feel.

About Homebar

Homebar is a wellness beverage bar and part of L9 Labs, a new fitness and wellness group building a portfolio of category defining concepts across movement, performance and nutrition. Our menu brings together performance smoothies, functional drinks, coffee and matcha alongside a considered range of better for you bakery style goods, from protein bars and baked snacks to grab and go products.

About the Role

You'll run the floor: making drinks to spec, moving the queue quickly, taking and ringing up orders, and keeping the bar clean, stocked and ready for the next rush. You'll work closely with your Store/Site Manager and the rest of the team to hit speed-of-service targets without ever making it feel rushed for the customer. Three months in, you'll know the full menu cold, be trusted to run a shift solo, and be someone customers ask for by name. Location can be either Canary Wharf or Duke St. We will always be clear of the work location.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare smoothies, coffee, matcha and other menu items accurately, quickly and to recipe spec
  • Take customer orders in person and at till, upsell where relevant, and process payments accurately
  • Deliver fast, friendly, high-energy customer service that fits the Homebar brand
  • Keep the bar, equipment and front-of-house area clean, stocked and compliant with food safety standards
  • Follow allergen and food safety procedures for every drink and product served
  • Support opening/closing routines: stock counts, prep, and shift handover notes
  • Flag stock shortages, equipment issues or customer feedback to your Site Manager
  • Work as part of a team to hit site-level speed-of-service and quality targets

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Some experience in a customer-facing role - hospitality, retail, bar or café experience is ideal but not essential
  • Comfortable working at pace during busy periods without dropping quality or friendliness
  • Genuine interest in health, wellness or fitness - you don't need to be an athlete, but you should get why our customers are here
  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable working early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
  • Basic food hygiene awareness (we'll provide Level 2 food safety training if you don't already have it)

Preferred

  • Previous barista experience or specialty coffee knowledge
  • Experience in a fast-paced QSR, juice bar, or gym/studio front-desk environment
  • An interest in nutrition, functional drinks or better-for-you food

£12.8 - £14.65, depending on experience, plus tips, on-shift drink & snack, and employee discounts.

Screening Questions

  • Do you have experience in a similar role?
  • Will your commute be 30 minutes or less?
  • Describe your customer service experience
  • Do you have experience in food & beverage?
  • Can you work at either location or do you have a preference? (Canary Wharf or Duke St)
