About the Role
At SDR, we believe that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is an important part of quality care. As a Domestic Assistant at Patcham Nursing Home, you will play a valuable role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, helping our residents feel comfortable, respected and at home.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will carry out regular cleaning and deep cleaning duties across the home, paying attention to detail and taking pride in your work.
Previous domestic or cleaning experience is essential. We welcome applications from people who are reliable, hardworking and keen to make a positive difference.
What Will You Be Doing?
Carrying out daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic environment.
Completing regular and deep cleaning tasks in designated areas of the home.
Cleaning communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and other facilities in line with required hygiene standards.
Using cleaning products and equipment safely and following relevant procedures.
Helping maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.
Respecting residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings at all times.
Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the high standards expected at Patcham Nursing Home.
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for older people.
You will ideally be:

Thorough and organised, with good attention to detail.
Kind and respectful, treating residents, visitors and colleagues with dignity.
A team player, willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
Safety-conscious, with an understanding of the importance of hygiene and safe working practices.
Flexible and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards training and feedback
Previous experience in a care home, healthcare setting or domestic cleaning role would be an advantage, but it is not essential. A caring attitude and a willingness to learn are just as important.
