As a Front of House Assistant, your primary role is to ensure every customer enjoys a warm welcome and excellent service. You’ll support the smooth day-to-day running of the front of house areas. Your key priorities and duties will be:
- Greeting and welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently and offering information about menu items when required
- Serve food and drinks with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Check in with customers during their meal to make sure they’re happy and have everything they need
- Preparing and serving drinks, including a variety of hot and cold beverages
- Processing payments using the till system, handling both cash and card transactions
- Clearing tables promptly and ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy
- Washing cutlery, crockery, and pots, and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming front of house environment throughout the day
- Housekeeping- making sure workstations and back of house areas are cleaned throughout the day
- Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food/serving environment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A passion for quality food and a commitment to maintaining high standards
