With a focus on the friendly but professional service and a range of guests - from wedding guests to those enjoying afternoon tea, this is a varied and fun venue to work in.

What You'll Be Doing as Breakfast Waiting Team Member

  • Welcoming guests and taking orders for hot breakfast items (being smaller boutique properties, our breakfasts are cooked to order rather than a large hot buffet)
  • Delivering food to tables promptly and with a smile
  • Setting up, maintaining and clearing down the small continental buffet area
  • Keeping the dining room looking smart throughout service
  • Helping with general clear-down at the end of your shift, and occasionally assisting with lunch or event set-up.

What We're Looking For

  • You don't need a lengthy CV or years of experience - but some experience in a customer-facing, hospitality setting would be ideal
  • You're a genuine morning person
  • You're warm, friendly, confident and comfortable chatting with guests from the moment service kicks off
  • A good sense of humour and a good level of charisma goes a long way too!
  • You're reliable - our guests are counting on a smooth breakfast, every time
  • You're a team player who's happy to muck in wherever needed
  • You take pride in doing a good job, even on a short shift
  • You can get yourself to Clifton (BS8) for an early start - please note there's no on-site car parking, but there's plenty of bike parking at all venues and great bus and train links in the area.

What's in it for you…

  • Excellent long term progression opportunities
  • Quarter Staff discount - this will give you a 20% discount in all our restaurants and will entitle you to fantastic friends and family rates within our hotels
  • Employee Assistance Programme - 24/7 support, national discounts and other wellbeing advice
  • 50% off HowTheLightGetsIn festival tickets for you, your friends and family
  • The opportunity to work within an award winning independent hospitality company
  • Pension contribution
  • First Bus travel discount (10% off)
  • Cycle to work scheme + secure bike storage
  • Competitive Gym membership at Anytime Fitness on Queen's Road in Clifton and other local discounts
  • Regular company socials - Quarter holds regular parties for our staff to say thank you
  • Free meals on shift - fuel for service!
  • Christmas off - the lead up to Christmas is a busy, festive time, but our restaurants will close for a few days over the festive period so you'll have some down time
  • Ongoing training and support

Closing date for applications: Friday 28th August 2026. We may close early if we find the right person, so don’t wait to apply! Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email to arrange a brief phone interview.
