We’re on the lookout for a friendly, organised, and proactive part time Breakfast Supervisor (15 hours per week) to join the team at Racks and help our guests start their mornings off right!
The Breakfast Supervisor role at a glance:
15 hours per week, typically worked over 4 short morning shifts on a rota basis (finishing mid‑morning)
Pay: £12.80 per hour plus tips
Typical shift timings: starting at approx. 6:00am (weekdays) or 7:00am (weekends). You will usually finish by around 10:30 - 11am
This role offers early starts and early finishes - leaving your afternoons and evenings completely free. Perfect for those balancing other commitments such as study, childcare, or another part‑time role.

Racks Bar & Kitchen is a Bristol institution - known for its buzzing atmosphere, great food, delicious drinks and famously friendly service. Tucked under the Clifton Hotel on St Paul’s Road within historic wine cellars opening onto a stunning outdoor terrace, Racks caters to everyone from brunch fans and Sunday roast lovers to lively groups, local regulars and sports fans looking to catch a football or Rugby game and, of course, guests of the Clifton Hotel!
What You’ll Be Doing as Breakfast Supervisor:
In this role, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our morning service runs smoothly from start to finish. Your typical morning might include:
- Supervising breakfast service and leading a small front‑of‑house team
- Welcoming and seating guests, taking orders, and overseeing smooth service
- Supporting and motivating your team to deliver great customer care
- Checking presentation standards and ensuring all guests leave happy
- Training and developing new team members
- Liaising with the hotel and other teams (including reception and kitchen) to keep communication flowing
- Helping out with rotas, breakfast checks, and some light admin and ordering tasks
- Front of house service for both hotel and non‑resident customers

Who We’re Looking For in our next Breakfast Supervisor:
An early riser with heaps of energy and a genuine passion for people and service
A confident leader who believes in leading by example and getting stuck in with the team
Some related experience – this could be within a café, restaurant, or hotel front‑of‑house role, either an existing Supervisor or a strong Front of House Team Member ready to step up or continue building your leadership skills
Reliability, warmth, and an eye for detail are essential, as well as the ability to keep things moving with a smile, even before most people’s first coffee of the day!
