We are a care company with a difference and we want a Marketing Manager to join our team.
Make a Real Difference Where It Truly Matters
At Ashton Care, care isn't just a service—it’s our family legacy and lifelong passion. Founded over 40 years ago, we provide person-centred residential, supported living, and domiciliary care across our local community.
We believe that to give outstanding care, we must first deeply care for our own team and community. That means living our values through:
True Community & Charitable Partnerships: Actively investing in local causes, supporting schools, community hubs, and local charities.
Environmental Responsibility: Committed, active carbon-neutral sustainability strategies.
National Industry Recognition: Shortlisted in 2026 for International Recruitment (WSPiC Accolades), Mental Health Specialists (Stars of Social Care Awards), and Outstanding Director of the Year.
When you join Ashton Care, you aren't just marketing a brand; you are connecting vulnerable individuals and their families to life-changing support.
The Opportunity: Be Our Marketing Champion
Are you a conscientious, self-motivated marketer with a compassionate heart and a commercial mind?
We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our marketing function as our sole marketing specialist. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Business Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind how our story is told and discovered.
You will have the autonomy to shape our digital presence, modernise our organic search reach, and be visible within our services-capturing genuine human stories and ensuring families find the help they need at the exact moment they need it.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Modern Digital Visibility (SEO & AI Search): Optimise our web presence for the future of search. Spearhead traditional and local SEO while shaping our content to dominate Generative AI search visibility(ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) through clear, authoritative, and helpful answers.
Deliver "They Ask, You Answer" Content: Create honest, educational content that demystifies social care, funding, and wellness—positioning Ashton Care as the go-to authority for families navigating care choices.
Authentic Storytelling & Creative Production: Spend meaningful time within our services, building trust with care teams, residents, and families to capture moving testimonials, case studies, videos, and photography.
Community Connection & Outreach: Actively represent Ashton Care across local charity initiatives, open days, community events, and partnerships with local schools and colleges.
Drive Commercial Growth & Occupancy: Design targeted campaigns that deliver consistent private-pay enquiries, maintain waiting lists, and support occupancy across residential services and domiciliary care.
Reputation & Review Leadership: Champion our voice on trusted care platforms ( Carehome.co.uk , Homecare.co.uk , Google Business Profile) to reflect our high standard of care.
Employer Branding: Partner with HR to showcase our culture, helping attract and retain compassionate care professionals.
Budget & ROI Management: Ensure every pound spent delivers measurable impact, tracking clear performance data through analytics and weekly/monthly executive insights.
About You
We are seeking a rare blend of deep empathy and autonomous drive:
Conscientious & Self-Directed: You excel as a stand-alone marketer. You are organised, reliable, and keep the main goals front and centre without needing daily micromanagement.
Compassionate & Attentive: You can listen empathetically to vulnerable people and their families, capturing their lived experiences with dignity, care, and authenticity.
Digital & Search Savvy: Experienced in organic SEO, content calendars, website management, and keeping pace with modern search trends (including AI search engine visibility).
Hands-on Creator: Skilled at crafting clean copy, capturing quality photo/video content, and ensuring consistent visual branding across digital and print touchpoints.
Analytical Mindset: Able to evaluate ROI, make data-driven decisions, and translate analytics into actionable next steps.
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle to visit our services and local community partners across the Bognor Regis area.
