Farm Girl is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Barista with advanced speciality coffee knowledge and natural customer service ability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, focused team (2 Baristas + Supervisor), takes ownership of their section, and confidently acts as the key link between the café and our customers. You will lead the barista section by example, uphold speciality coffee standards, manage stock and reporting systems, and ensure seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coffee Leadership & Standards
    • Deliver consistently exceptional speciality coffee to Farm Girl standards.
    • Dial in espresso daily and maintain extraction quality throughout service.
    • Maintain coffee equipment to the highest standard and report issues immediately.
  • Stock & Systems Management
    • Monitor wastage and identify opportunities to reduce loss.
    • Ensure correct stock rotation and ordering levels are maintained.
    • Confidently use POS systems to manage reporting and inventory.
  • Service & Guest Experience
    • Maintain exceptional customer service standards at all times.
    • Engage guests with knowledge and enthusiasm about our coffee offering.
    • Support upselling and contribute to sales growth within the café.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience as a senior barista in a specialty coffee environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and coffee calibration.
  • Experience dialling in and maintaining consistency in high-volume settings.
  • Confident using POS systems and digital stock/inventory platforms.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (spoken and written English).
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented.
