unit 40/1 Crossrail Place, London, E14 5AR, UNITED KINGDOM
Homebar is looking for Back of House Team Members to work in our Central Production Unit, making the smoothie prep, syrups and bakery-style goods that go out to every Homebar location. You'll spend your day batch-prepping, baking and packing product to spec β the quality and consistency you build here is what customers taste in every drink and every bake, at every site.
About Homebar
Homebar is a wellness beverage bar and part of L9 Labs, a new fitness and wellness group building a portfolio of category defining concepts across movement, performance and nutrition. Alongside Homebar, the group is behind Enmei, a reformer-based strength concept, and Homerun, a performance-led running concept.
Our menu brings together performance smoothies, functional drinks, coffee and matcha alongside a considered range of better-for-you bakery style goods: protein bars, baked snacks and grab-and-go items. Our Central Production Unit is where all of it gets made, batched and prepped before it reaches the bars.
About the Role
Working under the CPU Manager, you'll handle day-to-day production: prepping smoothie bases and syrups to recipe, baking and packing our bakery-style goods, and getting everything out the door on schedule and in spec. You'll follow standardised recipes and SOPs closely, keep your station clean and compliant, and flag anything that's off, ingredients, yield, quality, before it becomes a problem. Three months in, you'll be running your section independently and be someone the CPU Manager can hand a new recipe to and trust to nail it.
What You'll Do
- Prep smoothie bases, syrups and other ingredients to recipe spec and daily par levels
- Bake and finish bakery-style goods (protein bars, baked snacks, grab-and-go items) to recipe and quality standard
- Weigh, portion, label and pack finished product for delivery to Homebar sites
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times, including allergen handling and labelling
- Keep your station, equipment and shared kitchen areas clean and organised throughout the shift
- Track ingredient use and flag low stock, quality issues or yield problems to the CPU Manager
- Support stock counts, deliveries and general kitchen organisation as needed
- Work as part of a team to hit daily production targets without compromising on quality or safety
What We're Looking For
Required
- At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen or food production environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Comfortable following recipes and SOPs precisely and consistently
- Able to work early mornings and keep pace during production shifts
- A team player who takes pride in consistency and cleanliness
Preferred
- Bakery experience, not a dealbreaker, but a strong plus
- Formal food safety qualification (Level 2 or above)
- Experience in a commissary, CPU or multi-site food production setting
- An interest in wellness, functional food or better-for-you baking
Β£12.80 - Β£16.65, depending on experience, plus on-shift drink & snack, and employee discounts.
