Purpose of Job
As the Team Manager, you will support the Senior Operations Delivery Manager in leading our GPimhs Community Connectors, Recovery & Connect and Social Prescribing services, managing approximately 10 – 12 staff and ensuring safe, high-quality, recovery-focused service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership- Oversee the effective day-to-day delivery of services.
- Ensure services are safe, welcoming and meet quality, contractual and regulatory standards.
- Monitor service performance, risks, incidents and data quality.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational resilience.
- Provide line management, supervision, coaching and appraisal for staff.
- Deliver caseload supervision for Recovery & Connect and Social Prescribing teams.
- Recruit, induct and develop staff while promoting reflective practice and wellbeing.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIS) and service outcomes.
- Produce reports for commissioners and contribute to contract reviews.
- Support tender submissions and continuous service improvement.
- Ensure accurate recording, monitoring and reporting of service data.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with NHS, voluntary sector and community partners.
- Represent MFT at meetings, networks and stakeholder forums.
- Support service development alongside the Senior Management Team.
- Support budget management and effective use of resources.
- Provide operational cover where required to maintain service delivery.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and incidents.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, lone working and organisational policies.
- In fulfilling the above responsibilities, the post holder will:
- Work flexibly across operational sites.
- Participate in out-of-hours support where required.
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures of the employing organisation and partner organisations, with particular attention to confidentiality, Information Governance, health and safety, and Surrey Safeguarding protocols.
- Maintain accurate records in line with governance and GDPR requirements.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and promote safe practices among clients.
- Engage in team meetings, supervision, appraisal, and workforce development activities.
- Stay informed about relevant service developments, legislation, and best practices.
- Contribute to maintaining safe systems of work and a safe environment.
- Represent the host organisation professionally and uphold its values and ethics in all external engagements.

Person Specification
- Experience managing multidisciplinary services and staff.
- Experience of safeguarding, risk management and incident management.
- Knowledge of mental health, recovery and community-based services.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience working with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Ability to travel across Surrey and work flexibly.
- Minimum three years’ experience in adult mental health, wellbeing or behaviour change services.
